Experienced Java developer for Systematic in Copenhagen


Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Academically strong team player for clients who make a difference

As our new Java developer, you will be making a difference in developing well-functioning and unique IT solutions to solve critical tasks for exciting public and private customers. Among these can be mentioned: e-nettet, the Danish Tax Agency, the energy and health sectors, and the Danish Police Force. You will be based at our Landgreven department in Copenhagen, but will be part of a strong professional community across Systematic. We cover a wide range of projects and assignments, with in-house project teams as well as distributed projects with colleagues in other locations, and consulting assignments on-site at, and in close cooperation with, our clients.


Depending on the specific assignment, you will be involved in:

  • Clarifying main features and requirements in close collaboration with clients, project managers, business consultants and UXers
  • Assessing development tasks and their scope together with the team
  • Developing solutions and testing the specified solution elements
  • Further developing and maintaining solutions


How can you succeed in this role?

Curiosity and motivation will get you far. It would also be an advantage if you have an educational background in e.g. Computer Science or Software Engineering and several years of experience with software development. Communication skills and the courage to take responsibility are important for relations to both colleagues and clients, so it would be an added bonus if you can display these. As a company, we work in an agile manner, so having worked with, learned about or having an understanding of this would give you a clear advantage. You master written and spoken Danish fluently and English at a high level.


You should be familiar with the following technologies:

  • Java Enterprise/Spring Boot
  • SQL (including PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server or Oracle) – a general understanding of databases and data modelling is preferred
  • Git, TeamCity, Maven, SonarQube


Experience with the following would an advantage, but not not a requirement:

  • Angular, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5
  • OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker or similar
  • WildFly
  • Integrations (SOAP, REST/JSON)
