Solution Engineer in Defence, UK

Deliver solutions to support critical decision-making on the battlefield
As a Solution Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and supporting our SitaWare and IRIS software suites within our customers’ environments. Working closely with colleagues and our customers, you will collaborate with project teams in Farnborough and internationally. Your tasks will cover a broad range of responsibilities within areas such as solution design, configuration, installation, technical support, technical training, interoperability, and testing.

 

Providing technical support and advice internally and on-site, your key tasks include:

  • designing, implementing, and supporting technical solutions;
  • conducting and supporting technical training for our customers, both in classroom environments and in workshops;
  • coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, consultants, and colleagues within Systematic;
  • staying up to date with Systematic products and related technologies to ensure the alignment of customer expectations and product roadmaps, maximising value for both our customers and our products;
  • helping to ensure that projects are delivered within the agreed scope and on time. 

 

The position is based in Farnborough, Hampshire, UK, and entails domestic and occasionally international travel to customer sites as well as visits to our company headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. We operate a hybrid working policy which allows for flexibility with some time spent working in the office and some at home.

Technical capability and experience
You have a technical educational background, and ideally hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a mathematical, computer-related, or other relevant discipline and have min. two years of experience in delivering advanced software applications within customer environments.

 

Furthermore, you have experience within some or all of the following: tactical communications systems, software development, IT infrastructure, software and system testing, technical training, and delivering services and consultancy in the IT sector.
