

Public Relations & Engagement Consultant for Systematic Defence

As the Public Relations (PR) & Engagement Consultant for Systematic Defence, you will join a well-established, and growing, international marketing and communications team of six talented colleagues, whose primary purpose is to promote Systematic as a thought leader and the leading supplier of command-and-control software to an international defence audience. You will also work closely with Group Marketing & Communications, consisting of 25 colleagues who, on a daily basis, create awareness about Systematic and our other high-quality products that simplify critical decision-making across public and private sectors. The position is based at our office in Farnborough, UK.
As part of Systematic Defence, you will work in a global environment with offices in 11 countries across the world. The Defence Communications team works internationally with colleagues in Aarhus, Denmark and Cologne, Germany; you will refer to the Head of Communications, also based in the UK.

As the PR & Engagement Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our defence brand and identity, as well as driving our external engagement strategy on a global level. Your primary focus will be on positioning Systematic Defence as an expert in thought leadership on command and control, joining the global conversations on defence, security and technology.
In an exciting and growing organisation, your tasks will involve:
• Developing and executing campaigns to strengthen Systematic Defence’s brand awareness in the global defence and security sector and driving the implementation of a comprehensive engagement strategy across all communication channels.
• Building, maintaining and cultivating relationships with key industry stakeholders, government agencies, media, and influencers globally. Foster partnerships and collaborations to enhance Systematic Defence’s reputation and prepare press releases, engagement activities, and media kits as needed.
• Create and manage a dynamic calendar of engagement opportunities, including podcast appearances, webinars, speaker engagements, expert discussion panels, and round tables. Ensure a global reach.
• Collaborate with the Defence Communications Managers to create compelling content for PR purposes. Ensure content aligns with Systematic Defence's messaging and objectives.
You are our new colleague
…if you are a native English speaker that holds a bachelor’s degree in communication, PR, or similar field.
We also envisage that you:
• Have 3-5 years of experience within PR & communications i.e., creating communication outputs, hosting webinars, and developing content for a wide range of formats, including video, blog, case stories, and press releases.
• Have strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Describe yourself as an enthusiastic self-starter who manages projects from start to finish.
• Have knowledge of and experience with the defence industry, however, this is not a requirement but a benefit.
You can expect 30+ travel days to our other offices, primarily in Denmark, to visit your colleagues or in relation to exhibitions and events spread across our European markets.
