Programme Manager - Western Europe constellation for Systematic

Systematic is seeking a Programme Manager who can help our customers with the delivery, deployment and support of our mission-critical C4I solutions, SitaWare and Iris product suites. The role
Here is an opportunity to work in an international environment in which you will be responsible for ensuring high quality service and solution deliveries to our C4I customers in our Western Europe constellation. Systematic’s Defence business is growing, and we are looking for a Programme Manager who can continue to build and drive this development together with our service delivery team and business developers. Systematic’s SitaWare and IRIS product suites support our customers’ critical decision-making processes, and we are looking for a Programme Manager who is motivated by working in an environment where quality, correctness and precision matter. You will have overall responsibility for the delivery and implementation of Systematic’s Defence products SitaWare and IRIS and together with our business developers, expand and extend our engagement on new and mature markets. You will be head of operations of Systematics’ Defence projects in our Western Europe Constellation and be responsible for running multiple projects simultaneously. The projects involve implementing our SitaWare and Iris product suites into our customers’ organisations, including a wide variety of training services; providing technical support as preparation for military exercises and test events; architectural, technical and operational guidance to ensure optimal use of our products; quality assurance activities and development of integration and extension modules. You will prioritise, coordinate and optimise activities across the projects in close cooperation with your project managers. It is your responsibility to deliver to the agreed scope, schedule and quality, while maintaining and developing the long-term customer relationship. The job also includes gathering knowledge about the customer’s way of doing business, and feeding this back to Systematic to guide and inspire the SitaWare and IRIS product suite roadmap and development. Here, you will need to keep up to date with Systematic’s Defence offerings while also acting directly as a consultant for our customers or bringing into play the right colleagues who can help our customers to improve their business. You will be the people manager for your own team which you will grow in capability and size as you further develop our business in the Western European constellation. You will also draw on experts from other teams and departments to ensure the best quality in specific deliveries and the load-balancing of employees across teams and departments.

 

Tasks:

  • Delivery responsibility for Defence Service projects in our Western constellation
  • Drive business development, including forming and scoping solutions, estimating and writing proposals
  • Ensure synergy and solution delivery development and process improvements across our Defence market constellations
  • People manager, including hiring and people development

 

You will be based at our Farnborough office in the UK and report to our Director of Defence Services in Denmark. You can expect 30-40 days of travel a year, domestic as well as international.

 

Your skills and experience
We envisage that you hold a Master’s degree in IT and have skills that match PMI, PRINCE2 or IPMA Level B/C. You have management experience and a proven track record running complex IT service projects in a busy environment. You possess leadership experience and the know-how needed to coach and motivate people inside and outside the organisation. You are ambitious and you set the bar high. You have the will and the ability to continuously develop yourself and, as a team player, contribute to the continuous development of both the team and the company. You have a positive attitude, and you are committed, flexible and diplomatic. You have a natural ability to build bridges between Systematic’s office in Farnborough, UK and our headquarters in Aarhus, DK. You must possess the confidence required to interact and communicate with and present to Defence customers. You must also be able to generate strong brand recognition and establish trustworthy and constructive relationships with customers, partners, employees and other stakeholders to ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction. You will always strive to deliver the highest possible performance for the business.

 

We expect you to:

  • Have IT-related qualifications comparable to PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA Level B/C
  • Have at least 6 years of management experience with proven results from running complex IT service projects in a busy environment
  • Be able to manage highly complex and agile projects together with customers and subcontractors
  • Have the skills required to combine business insight with IT knowledge to create value for the customer
  • Be outgoing, trustworthy and able to inspire both the customer’s end-users and senior management
  • Be able to achieve results with both service delivery and business development
  • Possess leadership experience and have the ability to coach and motivate others inside and outside your own organization
  • Have a proven ability to deliver on cost, schedule and quality
  • Military knowledge or experience is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Agile and ITIL certification is also an advantage
