Bid Manager for Defence, Farnborough, UK

An international bid team with a high organisational impact
You will be a part of a professional Bid Management Team with a strong focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Systematic’s Bid Management Team consists of 10 colleagues in Aarhus, Farnborough and Cologne who manage proposals worldwide across all our business units. You will be dedicated to proposals for our Defence business with a primary focus on driving proposals within Western Europe and occasionally beyond.

The Job 
The role of Bid Manager is central in Systematic, and you will be responsible for multiple proposals varying in complexity and location. By combining your excellent project management skills with your winning mentality and drive, you will ensure we win business opportunities through well-defined and high-quality proposals. You will plan and execute bids within the agreed scope, quality, and time, and optimize activities across proposals and their contributors and: 

• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders from sales, legal, finance and delivery.
• Act as chairman of meetings and bid reviews with internal and external business partners; plan and run proposal kick-off meetings, key review meetings and workshops throughout the bid phase. 
• Coordinate and review input contributions from several internal specialist functions.
• Proposal risk management ensures relevant escalation of risks and other issues.
• Ensuring compliance with Systematic’s bid process and governance process and securing necessary approvals and signoffs.
• Prepare clear and concise briefing materials for senior management – including our CEO - and work with internal stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation.

Proactive Bid Manager 
We imagine that you have a background in Bid Management, Project Management or similar and 5+ years of experience. You have a proactive mindset and approach to solving tasks, with the ability and drive to take responsibility for your own tasks and the full lifecycle of the bid process. You are native in English and experienced working in an international context. In addition, you pride yourself in: 

• Motivating and engaging bid teams in a high-pressure environment
• Being skilled in doing business cases and project calculations 
• Ensuring quality and consistency across the bid 
• Being able to write compelling proposals and ensuring high quality in both substance and structure
