Join our new Defence Services team in The Hague
Systematic is a global software company with more than 1,100 employees, headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark. We deliver world-leading command-and-control (C2) applications for managing complex defence and security operations. Our C4ISR software solutions are in service with more than 50 countries worldwide, where they are operationally proven.
You will be part of a small, newly launched project team established locally in The Hague, and you will report to the Project Manager assigned to the NATO project while collaborating with our project teams across all our locations – primarily the teams located in Germany and Denmark.
Play a key role in implementing SitaWare HQ across NATO
As a Solution Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing SitaWare HQ across NATO. Working closely with the customer, your team and the software development teams, you will deliver end-to-end technical solutions to ensure that all requirements are met. Your role involves hands-on system integration and real-time deployment for web and application-based HQ communications.
Your everyday tasks will be:
- implementing, designing and supporting technical solutions at customer sites
- conducting technical training for our customers – both in classroom environments and in workshop-like set-ups
- supporting the training of administrators and end-users
- coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, consultants and colleagues
- providing first and second-level customer support.
Broad technical skills and customer-facing experience
To succeed in the role, you must have strong and diverse technical skills combined with several years of experience from a similar role. You probably also bring experience within software development or software system testing to the job.
Strong knowledge and an understanding of computer networking, software and hardware systems as well as scripting skills (PowerShell) will be key. You will also be a step ahead if you know about complex software and hardware systems and have experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Ideally, you:
- hold a technical degree at Bachelor or Master’s level
- are a strong and collaborative communicator in both Dutch and English
- enjoy travelling internationally, with travel accounting for an estimated 20-30% of your time
- have a structured and organised work style
- are experienced in customer-facing activities and comfortable conducting training
- preferably have a military background and/or NATO knowledge (e.g. military veteran or worked in the defence domain previously).
We are also looking for a colleague with technical skills within:
- interface technologies (e.g. REST, SOAP, working with APIs)
- Windows, including Active Directory, PowerShell etc.
- Linux
- hardware (network infrastructure, server, radios).
