Senior Project Manager - The Hague, Netherlands

Join our new Defence Services team in The Hague

Systematic is a global software company with more than 1,100 employees headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark. We deliver world-leading command-and-control (C2) applications for managing complex defence and security operations. Our C4ISR software solutions are in service with more than 50 countries worldwide, where they are operationally proven.

 

You will be part of a small, newly launched project team established locally in The Hauge. You will report to the Program Manager for Defence Services based in Cologne, Germany, and collaborate with our project teams across all our locations.

 

Drive impactful change internationally

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and driving software projects. You will play a pivotal role in implementing and delivering our SitaWare suite to our customer, NATO, but you will also manage project tasks within our Central Europe constellation. 


Your key tasks:

  • Lead and manage projects to ensure delivery on time and to the agreed quality and budget 
  • Lead and people manage the local team
  • Coordinate activities and ensure stakeholder alignment between the service delivery team, the customer, and our headquarters
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively address issues as they arise
  • Collaborate and engage with our business development teams by providing work and cost estimates for potential new projects and by contributing to proposal development

 

You should expect 20-30 days of business travel a year.


Highly experienced project manager with domain knowledge

To succeed in this role, you must have +7 years’ experience managing similar projects and ideally hold a technical master’s degree as well as having a military background and/or NATO expertise.

Additionally, we expect that you:

  • have a demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex IT projects in a fast-paced environment
  • have strong interpersonal and leadership skills that enable you to motivate, grow and influence people inside and outside the organisation
  • possess PRINCE2™ or equivalent certifications and have practical experience with Scrum methodologies
  • are highly proficient in both English and Dutch with good conversational skills in German
  • have the ability to combine your commercial mindset with your technical insights
  • have a proactive and goal-oriented work style and you are committed to achieving success

 

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here
