Senior Full Stack Developer - Shape the future of defence software training technology

The position  
At Systematic, we’re expanding our Defence Aspire team and are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join us and take an important role in working with our product SitaWare Aspire  – our next-generation training platform designed for modern Defence operations. 


Joining us as our new Senior Full Stack Developer, your primary responsibility will be leading feature development, creating and designing new product features together with our Architects – all in order to enhance user learning outcomes. You will have a great opportunity to make your mark on the product and influence how the team operates. 


In short, your key tasks will be:  

  • An active role in decision-making, development, and implementation of new custom-requested functionalities or features 
  • Ensure code review and inspection, participate in knowledge sharing and sparring across teams 
  • Optimize our build/deployment pipeline 
  • Design and Develop our offering in Azure to utilize the functionalities in the product and the offerings in Azure optimally 
  • Implementing best practices and finding optimum solutions together with the rest of the team

Furthermore, you are open to share your knowledge with your peers and more junior colleagues and understand that the team becomes better while doing so. 


How we picture your experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree within Software Engineering or related field 
  • Minimum 6-7 years of experience from a developer position  
  • Java/Kotlin and Spring - C# can also be relevant
  • Build/deployment pipelines  
  • Azure or other cloud provider platforms  


Furthermore, experience with DevOps, building and deploying services, relational databases and Keycloak as well as deployment automation is beneficial.
