Senior Business Development Manager - Danish Market

The job: drive growth in the Danish defence market
As Senior Business Development Manager for the Danish market, you are responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Systematic’s footprint within Danish Defence and relevant government stakeholders. You own key accounts and opportunities, identify, pursue and support sales opportunities for SitaWare and IRIS solutions, and execute sales strategies in close collaboration with the Nordic sales organisation.
Key responsibilities:
•    Own and develop a portfolio of defence and government accounts in Denmark, with responsibility for achieving sales targets and contributing to Nordic growth objectives
•    Identify, pursue and support sales opportunities for SitaWare and IRIS solutions across Danish Defence and relevant government sectors, including joint and cross domain operations
•    Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with the Danish Armed Forces, the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO), government stakeholders and industry partners
•    Execute account plans, sales activities, presentations and negotiations in close collaboration with the VP Sales Nordics and Danish market colleagues
•    Represent Systematic at customer meetings, exercises and exhibitions, while feeding market insights and customer requirements back to product and delivery teams

Joining the team: a high impact Nordic sales environment
You will join a small, high performing Nordic sales team covering a broad international territory, including Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the Baltics. Each team member owns their market with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely on strategy, key pursuits and customer engagements when it matters most. On a daily basis, you will work with experienced business development professionals and have direct access to senior leadership responsible for the Nordic business.
The work you will do is highly meaningful. Systematic’s solutions are used operationally by armed forces in real environments, in the operational domains and across domains at all levels – this is not transactional or generic technology sales. Customer dialogues are substantive, long term and impact driven, focused on solving real operational challenges that matter at national and international level.

What you bring: defence expertise combined with business development ambition
You bring a strong foundation in the Danish Defence domain combined with the commercial mindset and personal drive to build relationships, open doors and advance opportunities. You are motivated by engaging stakeholders, navigating complex environments and turning trust and insight into long‑term business.
We are also looking for: 
•    A solid background in the Danish Defence sector gained through a senior military role at captain/major level or an equivalent position
•    A genuine understanding of Danish Defence structures, doctrine, stakeholders and procurement processes
•    Exposure to commercial processes such as contracts, negotiations and market strategy, not necessarily from a traditional sales role, but within a Defence or government context
•    An established network within the Danish Armed Forces and/or DALO, combined with the motivation to actively grow and leverage that network
•    A proactive, engaging and ownership‑driven personality – you work independently and move opportunities forward without waiting for absolute clarity. You are energised by building relationships and creating momentum

You are fluent in Danish and English and are willing to travel approximately 40–60 days per year, primarily within Denmark with some Nordic travel.
