Senior Java Developer
My five team members and I are looking forward to welcoming the sixth extension to our newly established band of Java coding, coffee/tea drinking, team-oriented software professionals to our office in the central Copenhagen.
Systematic – who even are they?
Yes - we acknowledge that we are not the most well-known company in Copenhagen. But we have existed since 1985, and we are currently more than 1000 employees.
We develop software systems that, you will not pay much attention to, as it is normally only found, used in the hands of people with critical tasks in our society. These are the police, medical staff, soldiers, your local librarian, and others. In summary, we develop software that makes a difference.
Now what we have the formalities in place, let me introduce myself and our team.
Me and my team
My name is Andreas. I am the proud leader of this team we call “Resellable add-ons”. My team would probably describe me as an outgoing idea generator, who is in love with his bike and everything ski-related. Even though I have not had the pleasure of being the one signing contract with all five of my team-members (the team is that new), I think they are all brilliant people, who loves to socialize with one another.
As you might have heard, the defence industry is an attractive industry to work in. This means that we also have a lot of exciting work waiting for us, which is why, we wish to find a new colleague to add to our team.
Speaking about add-ons, you will be joining the most important team in the whole of Systematic, since we are the key players in terms of securing our customers' satisfaction with our main product suite SitaWare through our custom add-ons. Since you probably don’t know SitaWare, what you basically need to know is that it is a system that helps soldiers stay in touch and get an overview during missions. You can click the link and find out more here.
We need someone from the island of Java!
Not specifically coming from the island of Java, but someone who not only writes solid Java code, but fantasize about Java, dreams about Java and basically can’t get enough of Java.
With that being said, we are also on the lookout for someone with experience in affecting others, likeminded bachelors or masters in computer science or software technology, with the love and joy of Java code.
As we work in a complex system landscape, you might even have experience working in logistics, marine, space or similar industry – but this is just our own wishful thinking.
If you have ever worked with or understand Onion- or Hexagonal architecture, you would make me and the team equally happy.
But to sum up. Do you fill this bullet? Then we want you:
Experience in Java - 5 years or above
The practical stuff
Since we work with security classified systems, you will have to present a clean criminal record to be able to obtain security clearance and must not have lived outside a EU or NATO country for the past 7 years.
In the first period of your employment, you should expect travel activity to our HQ in Aarhus where we will make sure that you receive a great onboarding – both to Systematic but also to how we develop our software.
Yes, we still use CVs!
If you made it this far, we know you are interested! So, what are you waiting for?
What we need you to do is to click “APPLY NOW” and then we will look forward to receiving your very well thought through CV.
Are you left with more questions than answers (probably), please call me on this number: +45 89 43 20 00 and ask for Andreas Markussen.
