Senior SQL Specialist, AI & Python Developer

The job

Working with a focus on Python development and SQL implementation, and with a Java background, you will be responsible for implementing a migration project with high-quality data pipelines while upgrading existing functionality for intelligence and national security customers in Denmark. You will collaborate closely with Architects, Developers and customers to move existing legacy systems to a modern cloud-native platform to ensure modern solutions with a strong focus on quality, security and stability. 

You can look forward to:

• implementing migration functionality with high degree of focus on security and quality (initially, the work will focus on a migration process based on Python development)
• using AI-augmented tools for development and implementation
• working with a variety of technologies including newer versions of Python and Java.

Joining the team
You will join a 5–6-strong team situated in Copenhagen working on a data platform migration project and part of a larger national security and infrastructure (NSI) group located in both Copenhagen and Aarhus which works with various projects. The team is on a joint mission to develop the best solutions for our national security stakeholders. Your qualifications 
We are looking for a colleague interested in working across multiple projects and who is driven by creating outstanding functionality and value for our customers. 

We envisage that you have:

• a BSc in IT Engineering or Computer Science
• 3+ years of professional software development experience post studies
• experience in Python development and advanced SQL scripting
• knowledge of data warehouse design and dimensional modelling
• knowledge of database modelling, query execution plans and index strategies, as well as experience with modern data transformation workflows
• experience in Java and newer Angular frameworks
• an interest in working with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, PostgreSQL and SQL Server
• fluent English and Danish skills
• experience working with supporting the customer’s team onsite
• an outgoing personality, and that you thrive working within the client’s organisation in a customer-facing role.

As most of the work will take place at customer sites in primarily Greater Copenhagen, you thrive in customer-facing roles and enjoy working on site in close collaboration with clients.
