Senior IT Support Consultant

About the position
Systematic is a leading global software company dedicated to developing solutions that support critical decision making. As we continue to grow, we are establishing a local IT Service Desk presence in Copenhagen, and we are now looking for a talented Senior IT Support Consultant to become the first member of our on site team.


You will be part of Group IT (GRIT), a business critical function that supports operational excellence and ensures reliable, secure IT services across the entire Systematic Group. As the first Service Desk employee in Copenhagen, you will play a key role in determining how we support local users in close collaboration with our teams in Aarhus and Bucharest.
Alongside your daily support responsibilities, you will also help develop and fine tune the local set-up as it grows.

 

As Senior IT Support Consultant, your key responsibilities will span the following areas: 


Service Desk modernisation & continuous improvement
•    Contribute to the modernisation of Service Desk operations by assessing current processes and identifying optimisation opportunities.
•    Support improvements to established ways of working by spotting inefficiencies and bringing constructive suggestions.
•    Participate in implementing meaningful changes that strengthen workflows and user experience.
•    Help explore and introduce AI tools and emerging technologies that can enhance efficiency and service quality.
•    Document, update and refine processes to ensure they remain clear, current and effective.


Technical support & daily operations
•    Provide hands on technical support for end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues.
•    Deliver on-site support for the Copenhagen office, including walk ins, meeting room equipment, printers and office IT.
•    Handle escalated tickets and resolve complex issues in collaboration with colleagues across GRIT.
•    Support critical incident handling when needed.


Mentoring & knowledge sharing
•    Share knowledge with colleagues in GRIT and contribute to team learning.
•    Serve as a helpful technical resource when colleagues need support.
•    Contribute to training sessions and knowledge sharing initiatives.


Security & compliance
•    Understand and follow Systematic’s security policies and procedures.
•    Stay updated on relevant industry trends and emerging threats.
•    Participate in security audits and risk assessments.

 

Required expertise
•    A technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
•    A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT support with strong troubleshooting skills.
•    Proficiency in Windows technologies and environments.
•    Solid experience with VPN, Office 365, meeting room equipment, printers and ITSM tools (Ivanti Neurons is a plus).
•    A strong understanding of networking, hardware, software and preferably a basic knowledge of Active Directory and cloud services.
•    Experience with mobile OS support is an advantage.
•    Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment.
