Public Affairs Advisor
Do you thrive at the intersection of politics, media and business – and do you know how to open doors that matter? At Systematic, you will have a real seat at the table, working directly with General Management to shape how we are perceived and positioned in Denmark’s political and public landscape.
The job: Public Affairs strengthening Systematic’s political and media engagement
Based at our Copenhagen office, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Systematic’s external network among politicians, ministries, authorities and national media.
You will translate political insight into strategic value for the business, working closely with the Public Affairs Executive, General Management and our business development teams to support Systematic’s positioning across Defence, Healthcare and National Security & Infrastructure.
In short, you can look forward to:
- developing and executing a stakeholder plan targeting key decision-makers across politics, government and media
- representing Systematic independently at meetings, conferences and events, including Denmark’s democracy festival, ‘Folkemødet’ and similar arenas
- pitching and placing stories about Systematic in national Danish media
- driving projects from idea to execution with a high degree of autonomy
- supporting General Management with political analysis and insight into Danish decision-making processes
Joining the team: A small team but with broad exposure
You will be part of a small, flat-structured team within the CEO’s office, sitting alongside colleagues in public relations, group strategy and communication. The culture is informal, trust-based and built around easy access to leadership. It’s never far from idea to action, so if you spot an opportunity, you are encouraged to go after it.
You will be based in our brand-new central Copenhagen office, which we are moving into at the end of March. You will report to the Public Affairs Executive and collaborate closely with business development and General Management. You can expect to travel regularly to our Aarhus headquarters to build your internal network – understanding Systematic from the inside is just as important as representing us on the outside.
You bring: political acumen and strong stakeholder management skills
Our new Public Affairs Advisor is outgoing, self-driven and quick to take ownership. You thrive in an independent role where you build trust fast, navigate complex political landscapes and turn insight into business-relevant impact. Representing Systematic comes naturally to you, whether you are engaging stakeholders, the media or decision-makers.
You hold a relevant master’s degree in political science, communications, journalism or similar field, and you have:
- 1–3 years of experience from a political organisation, political party, media outlet or governmental entity
- a strong understanding of how political decisions are made in Denmark – and how private companies can engage constructively in that process
- hands-on experience pitching stories to national Danish media
- established network across media, organisations, political parties and/or ministries
- fluency in Danish and professional proficiency in English
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
