Product Manager, data & AI – SitaWare Insight

What if your operational experience could shape the data and AI capabilities behind better decisions in the battlefield? Join SitaWare Insight as Product Manager, and turn real-world defence and intelligence needs into product features, compelling customer demonstrations and meaningful improvements for soldiers, staff officers and NATO customers.

The job
As Product Manager for SitaWare Insight, you will work alongside our Business Product Manager and development teams to turn operational needs into concrete product features. You will be the voice of the customer and end-user, guiding the team’s day-to-day work and helping us to show what our data and AI platform can do for command and control (C2).

In short, you can look forward to:

  • guiding the development team’s day-to-day work, translating operational requirements into concrete features for SitaWare Insight
  • representing the voice of the customer and end-user, including prioritising fixes and change requests through our change control boards
  • using Insight’s own toolset – dashboards, data import and agents – to build examples that show customers and colleagues what is possible
  • supporting the sales team with product expertise, customer visits and proposal input while helping the marketing department to create product collateral
  • representing Systematic at conferences, trade shows and user forums, and presenting to customers on-site

The position requires regular international travel to customers and Systematic offices, approximately 20–30 days each year.

Joining the team
Based in Copenhagen, you will be close to the development teams building SitaWare Insight, while collaborating closely with Product Management colleagues in Aarhus. Alongside our Business Product Manager, who owns the product roadmap, you will provide operational input for the team’s daily implementation and help keep development aligned with user needs and product priorities. Together, you will be part of a collaborative team committed to turning data and AI into solutions that make a tangible difference across the defence sector from staff at headquarters to decision-makers in the field.

Your qualifications

You bring a solid background from the armed forces or intelligence services – for example as an officer, NCO or in a role such as an information manager – or several years of hands-on experience working directly with defence or intelligence customers as a supplier of data or information products or systems. This operational experience is essential, as it enables you to understand the realities our end-users face and to translate their needs into concrete product decisions.

We are also looking for:

  • a genuine interest in how data and AI support C2, and the ability to translate this into product direction. You do not need to be able to write code, but you must be able to engage confidently in technical dialogue with data engineers and architects
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate confidently and effectively in English
  • confidence in presenting to larger audiences, for example at customer visits, conferences or user forums
  • an independent, structured work style with the ability to prioritise your own work and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
