IT Project Manager to AI-Driven Development Team
Do you want to build financial-sector software from the ground up with intensive use of AI and in close partnership with a dedicated development team and a long-standing customer? If you are an experienced IT project manager who thrives on setting a direction and delivering results, this could be your next challenge.
The job
As IT Project Manager, you will lead a team of eight – including senior developers, a Scrum Master and an IT architect – on a critical new project for a financial-sector customer. You will have sole responsibility for the planning and progress of the development team while working alongside the customer’s own project management team, ensuring decisions are made, access is granted and knowledge flows freely to keep the project on track.
In short, some of your key tasks will be to:
- plan, drive and coordinate the work of the development team
- collaborate closely with, and report regularly to, the customer’s project management team
- follow up proactively on decisions, access and knowledge-sharing from the customer side
- manage stakeholder relationships and support contract coordination in partnership with the customer
Joining the team
You will be joining a newly formed team that brings together four new hires and three experienced developers, alongside a Scrum Master and our dedicated IT architect. Together, you will build a critical payment system for the financial sector – with AI playing a central role in how the team develops and delivers.
Your base will be our Copenhagen office, where you will be collaborating closely with team members in Aarhus, with Danish as the working language. We have built a strong, trust-based partnership with this customer over many years, and there is genuine enthusiasm in the team for this new project. We are looking for a project manager who brings not only solid professional skills but also contributes to a collaborative team culture where people enjoy working together.
Your qualifications
- Substantial experience in IT project management
- Relevant project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
- Proven track record of planning and managing projects end to end
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, contract management and risk management
- Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
If you have a technical background or hands-on experience with software development, that is a bonus!
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years, as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
