Internship– Junior Test Engineer in Defence (CPH)
Are you seeking an internship where you can apply your skills, learn from experienced professionals, and make a meaningful impact? At Systematic, we develop software that supports soldiers, doctors, and patients every day. As a Software Test Engineer Intern, you will contribute to ensuring that our solutions are reliable and of the highest quality.
Expected start: August 2026
Your role as a Junior Test Engineer
We are looking for someone interested in exploring a career in software testing. In this role, you will assist in quality assurance and gain insight into the full development process. You will have the opportunity to work with tools and technologies such as JIRA, Xray, Docker, GIT, TeamCity and test automation tools. You are not expected to be an expert in these already — what matters most is your eagerness to learn and your willingness to challenge yourself.
Your work will extend beyond simply identifying bugs. You will gain insight into how risks are analysed, how requirements are translated into test cases, and how features are tested and qualified before reaching end users.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Participating in daily Scrum meetings
- Manually testing and qualifying new features
- Collaborating closely with Test Engineers, Test Managers, Developers, Architects, Domain advisors, and Project Managers
- Creating and executing test cases based on requirements and user stories
- Reporting and clarifying defects to help improve our solutions
- Creating test designs and test strategies
- Participate in system test phases alongside the team
Our project in Defence
You will join a team of eight passionate professionals dedicated to developing innovative add-ons for Systematics’ core products.
We take pride in delivering high-quality, reliable solutions that make a real difference for our users. At the same time, we believe that great work happens in a positive and collaborative environment, where creativity thrives, ideas are shared openly, and laughter is part of the daily routine.
We are a team where everyone trusts and supports each other. We learn from our shortcomings and celebrates our successes. Therefore, you can expect a workplace that values both excellence and joy.
Who we are looking for
We envision that you are currently studying a bachelor’s in Software Technology Engineering. Beyond your academic background, what matters most is your motivation to learn and your readiness to contribute.
You are likely to thrive in this role if you:
- Have a natural curiosity for analytical challenges and problem-solving
- Can work both independently and collaboratively
- Are structured in your approach and take responsibility for your tasks
- Speak and write English fluently (Danish is an advantage but not required)
This is a full-time internship lasting five months, starting on 17 August 2026. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a Danish study program and be based in Denmark during the internship period. The position is a paid if your study program allows.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
