The position
Joining as a Senior Software Developer, your primary responsibility will be leading feature development creating and designing new product features that enhance user learning outcomes. You will have a great opportunity to make your mark on the product, help grow the team and influence how the team operates. In short, you can look forward to:
- Designing and implementing high-quality integrations between existing Defence products and the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Drive design, discuss and implement solutions for new features,
- Implementing new custom-requested functionalities or features
- Implementing best practices and finding optimum solutions together with the rest of the team
- Optimize our build/deployment pipeline
- Design and Develop our SaaS offering in Azure to utilize the functionalities in the product and the offerings in Azure optimally
- Taking an active role in the decision-making for new product features and architecture
- Writing and implementing code for the new features
- Troubleshooting, optimizing, and solving complex problems in an existing codebase.
Joining the team
We are growing our department with a new team in Copenhagen, which you will be part of. Hence, you will join a growing Defence business. In cooperation with our committed and highly skilled group of engineers and developers, placed in Aarhus, Copenhagen and Bucharest, you will accelerate the development and implementation of our new and innovative training solution, SitaWare Aspire.
SitaWare Aspire is a digital training platform for our Defence customers. The solution is modern and intuitive, although we continuously refine it to provide our customers with the best offering. Aspire is our youngest service product and with a strong start and success in the market, more new products will come. For the product itself, our next step is to host it in Azure and offer it to customers as a Software As A Service (SaaS) solution.
Growing a team in Copenhagen, we want to enhance our focus on DevOps, looking into automation by extending our build and deployment pipeline and support the SaaS solution.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a colleague who holds a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree within software and at least 3-4 years of experience with Software Development. On a personal manner, we are looking for someone who will enjoy being part of a new team in Copenhagen by building a strong team spirit, both locally and across locations. Technically, we are looking for someone with a toolbox comprising:
- Java/Kotlin and Spring
- Build/deployment pipelines
- Experience with Azure or other cloud provider platforms
- Experience with DevOps processes
- Experience building and deploying services, relational databases and Keycloak
- And experience with test and deployment automation.
If you, furthermore, have an interest in or competencies within some of these technologies: Angular, Typescript, and Scripting in Bash/PowerShell, it will be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. However, it is a requirement that you are comfortable communicating in English, as it is our corporate language and used daily in conversations with colleagues worldwide.
