Test Manager (m/w/d) – Central Europe

You will become part of a professional and strong community in Defence Operations – this is where we interact with the customers and ensure they get the best possible support from us. Together with talented colleagues from various professional disciplines, you will be able to discuss the latest developments in the areas of test management and technology.  

You will be joining our Central Europe team, primarily based out of Cologne, Germany, but working across Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. Furthermore, you will have skilled colleagues across our development sites in Denmark and Romania.  

 

Securing our continuous high level of quality 

In the role as a Test Manager, you are the key player in securing a high level of quality within our projects for defence customers globally. You will be part of projects with frequent and scheduled releases with a great focus on defined processes as well as taking part in customer-oriented projects in which you will be working closely together with the customer throughout the processes in your work. 

You will be working closely with project teams both locally in Cologne and our development teams across our sites in Denmark & Romania. 

Testing is an integrated element of our development process, and as a Test Manager, you take part in 12- or 24-hour knowledge network events. These events give you the opportunity to bounce ideas around with other testers and test managers, engage in interesting discussions, listen to lectures, share know-how and best practice and get to know your colleagues even better. You can look forward to joining an active, professional group of experts with a keen focus on testing.  

 

Your everyday responsibilities will look like the following: 

  • Quality-assuring integration software by validating customer requirements, designing test cases, executing and completing tests, and running system/release tests 
  • Challenging solution design in relation to risks based on the system context, customer requirements and security 
  • Participating in risk assessments 
  • Formulate and review test documentation 
  • Involvement in requirement management   
  • Planning and conducting acceptance tests (FAT, SAT) with customers both in our lab and at customer sites 
  • Planning and conducting integration tests with 3rd party software solutions and hardware 
  • Participating in tender / proposal work regarding test and test management approach  
  • Establishing and maintaining test environments  
  • Participating in military exercises to support the use of our solutions and get inspiration for new ways to test to ensure we catch the real-life use or our solutions in our tests 

 

Experienced Test Manager with the ability to get hands-on  
We expect you to be proactive and able to use your skills to see things in a bigger picture while at the same time being able to problem solve anything that might come your way. Furthermore, you are not afraid to ask questions to ensure a high level of quality when it comes to testing. Similarly, you stand up for what you believe and ensure that software is not released before it fulfils the quality goals. 

You can also see yourself in the following:  

  • + 2 years of experience as a Test Manager of software 
  • Ability to do test integration, analyse and communicate technically complex solutions 
  • Primarily working with TestRail, Jira and the plugins Xray and R4J 
  • Hands-on experience with text execution in close cooperation with stakeholders 
  • ISTQB- or TMAP-certified 
  • Ability to obtain security clearance 
  • Professional proficiency in German and English – written and oral 
  • Ability and willingness to travel
