Solution Engineer, Cologne – Germany

Are you driven by the idea of shaping critical software solutions for a market-leading company? And are you keen to work in an agile environment where you have the opportunity to span multiple technical disciplines within the IT solutions area? Then apply now and help us make a difference!

Join a market-leading and international software company
Systematic is a fast-growing international software company with more than 1,200 employees in 13 locations. At Systematic, our mission is to deliver IT solutions that make it simpler for users to make crucial decisions in demanding situations. Our customers are primarily government agencies and government institutions in the public, health and defence sectors.

Our Defence business unit delivers market-leading command-and-control software and military interoperability solutions to armed forces worldwide, helping users in more than 50 countries make decisions in critical situations.

Shape the future of critical software solutions
As a Solution Engineer in Germany, you will be working closely with customers, rolling out a mission-critical system that creates value by simplifying decision-making within areas such as solution design, configuration, installation, technical support, technical training, interoperability, development and testing. In addition, some of your key tasks will be to:
•    design, implement and support technical solutions at customer sites while ensuring your deliveries are within the agreed scope and time-frame
•    conduct and support technical training for our administrators and end-users – both on site during exercises and in workshop-like set-ups
•    coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, consultants and colleagues at Systematic
•    stay up to date on the status of Systematic products and support to ensure alignment of customer expectations and product roadmaps, maximising value for both our customers and our products
•    provide first and second-level customer support.

Passionate about driving critical software solutions
To succeed in the role, you must have a strong technical background as well as a relevant bachelor’s degree. We also envisage that you:
•    have experience with IT infrastructures/platforms (Windows/Linux/mobile operating systems, storage solutions, database systems)
•    have a knowledge of tactical radios and radio networks, although this is not a requirement but a plus
•    have experience of software and system testing
•    have a good command of both written and spoken German and English
•    have an agile and result-oriented mindset with a team player spirit.

As a Solution Engineer, you should expect some travel activity to customer sites and projects.

Please note that you must hold or be able to obtain a security clearance as we work with security-classified projects.
