We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Canberra team to lead and drive delivery of contracted projects.


About the role

Reporting our Program Manager, you will participate in digitalisation projects that deploy Command and Control software solutions using agile approaches in close collaboration with the customer.


Key tasks include:

  • Leading the planning and execution of projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and ASDEFCON contracting standards.
  • Managing project scope and interdependencies within established change management processes to meet contractual outcomes.
  • Building and managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring all parties are well-informed about project statuses, issues, and changes.
  • Preparation of internal and external reports on job status and financial performance against agreed budgets and forecasts, and conducting project status meetings with the customer.
  • Managing stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Leading, managing and developing the project team.
  • Participating in proposal work in cooperation with Business Development and Bid teams.
  • Travel may be expected - approx.10 days a year of domestic travel and a visit to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark as part of your onboarding.

 

 About you

  • Computer Software, Engineering, Project Management or other relevant degree.
  • Project management (PMP/PMI or Prince2), ITIL certification and experience working with Scrum.
  • Ability to lead and manage staff within a team environment and to foster cooperation within and between teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to think strategically.
  • High attention to detail.


Desirable

  • Experience delivering projects within the Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).
  • Experience in working with International Trade Compliance and understanding export rules and regulations.
  • Excel/spreadsheet proficiency.
