Systematic is growing, and we need a new Field Support Engineer to join our Brisbane team.

 

 

About the role

As a Systematic Field Support Engineer, you will be working closely with customers, providing technical support and training.

Reporting to our local Program Manager, you will be responsible for keeping up to date on status reports on the Systematic SitaWare C4I product suite to support the alignment of customer expectations and product roadmap to maximise value for our customers.

The role requires a person who understands the ADF, is technically astute, a good communicator and with strong problem-solving skills.

Providing technical support and advice both on site and in back office, your key tasks will include:

  • Installing, configuring and supporting SitaWare in the customer’s C4I environments for use in tests, training, exercises and actual operations
  • Setting up and testing integrations between SitaWare and coalition systems, sensors, effectors and communication systems
  • Conducting technical training for our customers – both in classroom and workshop environments
  • Supporting the training of administrators and end-users
  • Helping to ensure that projects are delivered within the agreed scope and on time
  • Collecting feedback from the customer and feeding the learning loop, both internally at Systematic and at the customer
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, consultants and colleagues within Systematic
  • Keeping up to date with Systematic products to ensure the alignment of customer expectations and product roadmaps, maximising value for both our customers and our products.

 

About you

  • You hold a technical Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • You are keen to work in an agile environment (Scrum experience is a plus)
  • You are eager to make a difference and step outside your comfort zone
  • You are able to establish trust with stakeholders
  • You are comfortable delivering presentations, technical support and training

 

You should also be familiar with one or more of the following:

  • Java, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, XML
  • IT infrastructure and platforms (Windows, Linux, Android-based operating systems, Active Directory, database management systems, XMPP chat)
  • Hardware (infrastructure components such as servers as well as computing devices)
  • Australian defence terminology, user cases, practices and procedures

 

It is an advantage if you possess military knowledge or experience. Because we also work with security classified projects, all Systematic Defence employees must have at least a Secret (NV1 or NV2) security clearance or be eligible to apply for one.
