About the position

 

Join our expanding Defence team working on products like the IRIS suite, which improves military communication in modern defense forces. We're a growing team of 21, split between Aarhus and Bucharest, with diverse roles like managers, Product Owner, Architect, Project Manager, User Experience Designers, Developers, Testers, and a Test Manager. Your role will be essential as we expand and continue our work together.

 

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and is a part of Systematic’s Defence Business Unit. 

 

Play a key role in the test process 

 

As our new Test Engineer colleague, you will play a vital role in the development process, collaborating consistently with the team to maintain high-quality software standards. This involves producing essential test documents, including writing test cases, conducting test considerations, performing risk analysis, and actively contributing to quality assurance measures.


Working in an agile scrum-team, you will make a difference by:

  • Design and execute test cases, track requirements, conduct exploratory testing.
  • Configure test environment and deploy builds.
  • Be an active part in Sprint ceremonies (planning, demo, daily stand-up & retrospectives)
  • Defect lifecycle (reporting new defects, verifying fixed defects, track and monitor defects) 
  • Executing tests on different levels (System Test, Smoke Test, Story/Feature test, Integration Test)
  • Actively identify and suggest potential tests that are suited for being automated by developers

A Test Engineer with an eye for details

 

We seek a colleague who brings a technical degree in computer science, software engineering, computer technology, or something similar—someone who has worked as a Test Engineer or in a similar role for 2-3 years. We are looking for a team member who not only possesses expertise in software testing and is proficient in Scrum and Jira, but also demonstrates proactive initiative and takes responsibility for their work. 

 

It would be advantageous if you have technical expertise in Docker and Linux, as well as experience with test tools like Xray, TestRail, or similar platforms but this is not a demand.

 

It is essential that you speak English fluently and will thrive in an international working environment.

Practical information
 

  • Hybrid setup: office and remote work
  • Our team is based in Romania and Denmark, with collaboration and occasional travel between the two locations, so you should expect 2-4 weeks of travel per year.
  • Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
