Systems Engineer (iOS Developer) for CURA team


Bucharest, Romania.


About the position


The position is located at our office in Bucharest and is a part of Systematics businesses within Healthcare. You will join a competent team with approximately 60 skilled colleagues based in Denmark, Romania and Ukraine, all working together on a broad range of tasks. For example, estimations for new feature development, defect fixing for the Cura product suite, feature development or handling of service requests, deployments and operational tasks. Our processes are built around Scrum and Safe and are continuously improving and optimizing the way we organize and work on the project.

Columna Cura is our latest product within healthcare IT. It is a citizen record application – the web- and app solution of the future, for the field of health- and social care – and support employees, citizens, and relatives throughout a citizen’s complete health journey. Currently, it is operational and has already been purchased by more than 30 Danish municipalities.

The product is one of the most advanced EHR systems on the market and is being developed as a web (Java) and app solution (Android and iOS). The product has been around for more than four years and is currently in use in more than 30 Danish municipalities. Columna Cura means Denmark’s healthcare workers can spend more time on care and prevention and less documentation. Having relevant information within reach ensures that users can benefit from a more efficient decision-making process. Columna Cura is constantly being expanded and developed. We are dealing with a critical system with many users, data, and high loads.


Responsibilities and tasks


You will be placed in the Product Development organization working within a development team as a Systems Engineer.


Your everyday tasks will consist of:

  • Clarifying general features and requirements in close cooperation with the team.
  • Specifying technical solutions based on requirements, specifications, cases, and user stories in cooperation with customers and architects.
  • Defining and estimating the scope of development tasks together with the team.
  • Developing solutions and supporting the testing of specific solution elements.
  • Optimizing and maintaining existing code
  • Have the possibility to continue in the role of Scrum Master within the team.


Preferred skills


  • Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5 is a plus
  • Experience with working in a scrum team
  • Driven by doing work that matters: We save lives

  • Possess incredible drive and commitment, and have a positive approach to things
  • Preference for working in close cooperation with your colleagues and are a good team player
  • Have experience working across the value chain
  • Have expertise in healthcare-related IT


Minimum qualifications


  • Computer scientist, Engineer or similar, passionate about working in an agile complex set-up
  • Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or equivalent
  • A minimal of 1-2 years of relevant experience as an iOS Developer
  • Solid software engineering skills, with strong competencies in algorithm development, software design, data structures, and the client-server model
  • Fluent in both Romanian and English, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the development of larger iOS applications in XCode / Swift and distribution via the AppStore
  • In-depth knowledge of good iOS architecture and practice
