About the position

 

Together with your team, you will be responsible for the continued development, improvement and maintenance of our product SitaWare Headquarters - a powerful and scalable C4I system (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence). It offers an accessible, easy to use, yet comprehensive toolset that can significantly increase operational flexibility and reduce deployment time while providing extensive interoperability capabilities.

Our product is currently deployed and running on a number of installations around the world with new releases being shipped every half year which include new capabilities, bug fixes and other improvements.

 

Responsibility and tasks

 

We would like you to be part of our very outspoken and energetic team, where we like to promote creativity by constantly sparring with each other and bouncing off ideas, so don’t be afraid to speak up!

 

Your everyday will have a variety of tasks in some of our different technologies. For example:

  • Scala
  • Java technologies (JEE WildFly, JPA/Hibernate, JAX-RS, JCR/JackRabbit, JUnit, Mockito)
  • REST
  • Development Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Wiki, Git, IntelliJ, Teamcity)
  • Web technologies: AngularJS, Angular 9, Bootstrap, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS3/SCSS, HTML5, Jasmine, Karma
  • Other technologies: Gradle, npm, Microsoft SQL Server
  • We are also looking into future technologies such as Kafka/RabbitMQ, OSGI (karaf), Thorntail, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, AI.

 

Preferred competencies

 

  • We are looking for someone who shares our passion for programming, who is not afraid of complex problems and who is willing to learn and in return help others to grow and improve.
  • Prior interaction with or knowledge of the defense domain or other mission-critical applications is a very welcome bonus.
  • Prior experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery is a bonus

 

Minimum qualifications

 

  • Experience is important for us, so we are looking for people who have activated in the field for at least 5 years, with knowledge of Java (and/or Scala) and AngularJS (and/or Angular 9).
  • Prior experience with SCRUM and Kanban methodologies
  • You speak and write fluent English

Practical information

 

  • You will be based at our offices in the heart of Bucharest and join one of our Danish and Romanian project teams of 5-9 colleagues. Our organization is flat, so new ideas can move to the top fast, and we know that trial and error is how to move forward and develop.
  • Depending on the COVID-19 situation, it is a possibility to spend your first 2 weeks in the Systematic HQ in Denmark, Aarhus.
