Systems Engineer (Java Developer) for Healthcare product

 

Bucharest, Romania.

 

About the position

 

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and is a part of Systematic businesses within Healthcare BU. You will join a competent team with approximately 60 skilled colleagues total based in Denmark, Romania, and Ukraine and working together for a broad range of tasks such as: estimations for new feature development, defect fixing for the Cura product suite, feature development, or handling of service requests, deployments, operational tasks. Our processes are built around Scrum and Safe and are continuously working on improving and optimizing the way we organize and work in the project.

Columna Cura is our latest product within healthcare IT. It is a citizen record application – the web and app solution of the future – for the field of healthcare and social care – and supports employees, citizens, and relatives, throughout a citizen’s complete health journey. Currently, it is operational and has already been purchased by more than 30 Danish municipalities.

You will be placed in the Product Development organization working within a development team as System Engineer.

You will get the chance to cooperate closely with the Software Architect and contribute in setting the direction for changes to the Cura product suite. You will be one of the “go-to” persons when exceptional technical knowledge will be required, both in your project team and across the group. You will also contribute to creating a team culture of pro-activeness, result-oriented, quality-driven, that aligns with Systematic values and principles. You will get the power of decision and the possibility to contribute actively to increasing the efficiency and quality of our product.

 

Responsibilities and tasks

 

Your overall responsibility will be of a Systems Engineer with back-end knowledge

 

Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Effort estimation for new feature development
  • Defect fixing for the Cura product suite
  • Feature development for the Cura product suite
  • Handling of service requests, deployments, operational tasks

 

Our ideal candidate

 

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant development education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Systems Engineer/Full-stack software engineer
  • Solid software engineering skills, with strong competencies in algorithm development, software design, data structures, and the client-server model
  • Strong knowledge of Java
  • AngularJS, Angular, JQuery development experience
  • Experience working with Object-oriented design and design patterns
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks

 

Preferred skills

 

  • Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5 is a plus
  • Experience with working in a scrum team

  • Possess great drive and commitment, and have a positive approach to things
  • Preference for working in close cooperation with your colleagues and are a good team player

  • Travel may be expected - approx. 5 days a year including visit to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.
