About the position

 

Systematic is a rapidly growing, innovative software company with customers in more than 50 countries worldwide. Our mission is to develop software products that assist users in their tactical decision-making in critical situations. Our C4I software suite, SitaWare, is an interoperable digital command and control information system that delivers situational awareness on all levels of command.

 

As our Software Architect, you'll define the design and architecture for new product features, setting the technical direction. Ensure alignment with stakeholders, both in Product Management and across the team.

 

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and falls under Systematic’s Defence Business Unit. Our dynamic teams in Romania follow a Scrum methodology, each consisting of skilled professionals including Scrum Masters, QA experts, and full-stack developers.

 

Make an Impact Every Day as a Software Architect

 

Your main responsibility will be to define architecture and design for new product capabilities, setting the technical direction for the team, collaborating with the other architects and encompassing functional and non-functional requirements like quality, scalability, and performance.

 

In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:

  • Conduct frontrun for a new feature by translating customer needs into product requirements and breaking down the feature into smaller development pieces
  • Align with stakeholders to ensure solutions developed by the team matches expectations.
  • Create and evolve the architectural vision for the team. Identify and prioritize technical issues or improvements
  • Sparring with developers to solve complex technical challenges and might lend a hand on development of key features

 

Are you the talent we've been searching for?

 

  • You possess a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
  • You bring 7 to 15 years of development experience, and it would be advantageous to have at least 3 years of experience in the software architect role.
  • Experience working with product development.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to translate user requirements into design solutions, along with proficiency in documenting and effectively communicating the vision at all seniority levels.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as Java, Angular or other related technologies.
  • Having experience with microservices, micro frontends, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • As a person, you are goal-oriented, proactive, and structured, showcasing a pragmatic problem-solving approach. You possess visionary thinking and excel as a communicator.
  • You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.

Practical information

 

  • Hybrid setup: office and remote work
  • Our team is based in Romania and Denmark, with collaboration and occasional travel between the two locations, so you should expect 2-3 business trips per year.
  • Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
