About the position
Together with your team, you will be responsible for the continuous development, improvement, and maintenance of our product SitaWare Headquarters - a powerful and scalable C4I system (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence). It offers an accessible, easy-to-use, yet comprehensive toolset that can significantly increase operational flexibility and reduce deployment time while providing extensive interoperability capabilities. Our product is currently deployed and running on a number of installations around the world with new releases being shipped every half year which include new capabilities, bug fixes, and other improvements.
Your everyday tasks will consist of:
- Troubleshoot, optimize and solve complex problems in an existing codebase
- Design and implement new features together with our Domain Experts and User Experience engineers
- Ensure the quality of the solution by reviewing and inspecting the design and code made by your colleagues
Are you the talent we've been searching for?
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant development education
- We are looking for someone who shares our passion for programming, who is not afraid of complex problems and who is willing to learn and in return help others to grow and improve.
- Experience is important for us, so we are looking for people who have activated in the field for at least 6-7 years, with knowledge of Java Technologies (JEE WildFly, JPA/Hibernate, JAX-RS, JCR/JackRabbit, JUnit, Mockito) and/or Angular.
- We would like you to be part of our very outspoken and energetic team, where we like to promote creativity by constantly sparring with each other and bouncing off ideas, so don’t be afraid to speak up.
- Communicate in English both verbally and in writing with many different stakeholders and at all levels of the organization.
It would be a plus:
- Prior knowledge and experience with the use of SCRUM or Kanban
- Prior interaction with the defense domain or other mission-critical applications is a very welcome bonus
- Knowledge of some of the technologies that we use:
- Scala
- REST
- Development Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Wiki, Git, IntelliJ, Teamcity)
- Web technologies: AngularJS, Bootstrap, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS3/SCSS, HTML5, Jasmine, Karma
- Other technologies: Gradle, npm, Microsoft SQL Server
- We are also looking into future technologies such as Kafka/RabbitMQ, OSGI (karaf), Thorntail, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, AI.

Practical information
- Travel may be expected twice a year in our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.
- We work with security classified projects, therefore, as a Systematic employee, you must have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years. Additionally, it is a requirement to obtain a security clearance when working in our Defence Business Unit. Please read more here.
