The team, based in Romania, collaborates closely with the Danish counterpart to foster a strong cross-cultural employee dynamic. This position, part of Systematic Defence Business Unit, is located in our Bucharest office.

Make an Impact Every Day as a Senior Systems Engineer

Your primary role will be to lead our team by taking ownership, providing leadership, and driving agile development, all while innovating and shaping the future of AI solutions.

In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:

• Implement high quality software which makes a real difference for our customers
• Lead the agile software development and continuously improve how we work
• Write Initial Feature Description and Feature Requirement Specifications
• Develop and document code according to agile principles using Angular, Java, and other relevant technologies
• Run the full test cycle together with our dedicated testers to ensure high quality of our product

Are you the talent we've been searching for?

• You hold a BSc in computer science or other relevant technical field.
• You have at least 7 years of experience in Software engineering.
• As a person, you are a proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills, an international mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.
• Experience with:
  • Frontend development in Angular or similar
  • Backend development in Java or similar
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Microservices and message queues

Technologies used:

• Angular 14 (TypeScript, SCSS)
• Java 17 microservices using Spring Boot
• Docker on Kubernetes with Istio and Helm
• Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Prometheus
• Gradle and Bazel
• Linux and Bash scripting
• TeamCity, Bitbucket and JIRA

Practical information

• Hybrid setup: office and remote work
• Our team is based in Romania and Denmark, with collaboration and occasional travel between the two locations, so you should expect 2-4 weeks of travel per year.
