Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Critical Infrastructure team, you will help develop innovative solutions that ensure the safety of people at sea, particularly in offshore wind farms. You will also contribute to enhancing security around critical infrastructure, working as part of a dynamic product organization dedicated to delivering cutting-edge products that make a tangible impact.

Our SITE product

You will join our SITE suite, an established product that manages safety, critical infrastructure and marine coordination for offshore wind parks, built on Systematic's SitaWare platform. We have customers all around the world, that rely on SITE throughout the construction and operational phases.
The team consists of 14 skilled, technical colleagues focused on enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:

• Be leading complex development tasks 
• Breaking down the features into smaller tasks and ensure timely, reliable delivery
• Act as a sparring partner for the more junior developers in the team
• Contribute to exciting new feature development and keep our systems running smoothly with proactive maintenance.
• Provide 3-level support to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and success.
• Work closely with our architect and fellow developers to discuss and implement top-notch technical solutions.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements

What We’re Looking For:

• A Masters’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) and have 2+3 years of experience in a similar position
• Hands-on experience with Java, Wildfly, Keycloak, Angular, SQL Server, MySQL, and API-based product development.
• You have experience with profiling and optimizing java applications and relational databases
• The following experiences would be a plus: Optimization in cloud solutions, Image recognition, acoustic training
• Strong communication skills and a natural team player who enjoys collaborating.
• You are working in a structured approach, and have patience in sharing knowledge. 
• You have an interest in learning, are proactive and have decisive personality traits.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with a passion for working in an international and diverse environment.

Practical information: 

• Hybrid setup: office and remote work
• Our team is based in Romania and Denmark, with collaboration and occasional travel between the two locations, so you should expect 2-4 weeks of travel per year.
