About the position

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and is a part of Systematic Defence Business Unit. You will join a team of 60+ skilled colleagues located in Romania and Denmark. This team builds two of our Defence products, Frontline and Edge, the apps that are used by soldiers in their exercises. It helps bring the strategy decided in the higher level command centers to the battle field soldiers. Frontline can be found on military vehicles devices and Edge on dismounted soldiers Android devices.
 
Your Daily Impact as a Senior Software Developer

Your main responsibility will be to develop full-stack software applications with a frontend in TypeScript and Angular, and backend in Java.
 
In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:

• Design and implement new features together with our Domain Experts and User Experience engineers
• Ensure the quality of the solution by reviewing and inspecting the design and code made by your developer colleagues
• Troubleshoot, optimize and solve complex problems in an existing codebase

 
Are you the talent we've been searching for?

• You hold a BSc in computer science or other relevant technical field
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position working with Angular and Java
• Experience with:
  • You have experience working with Java and/or Angular, TypeScript
  • Multithreading and Synchronization
  • REST/ RESTful services
  • DB Schema design and ORMLite framework (or other ORM frameworks)
  • Dependency Injection framework (e.g. Dagger)
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) using at least one of the following, such as JUNIT or MOCKITO, is a nice-to-have.
• As a person, you are open-minded and enjoy taking the initiative
• You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.

Practical information
 

• Hybrid setup: office and remote work
• Our team is based in Romania and Denmark, with collaboration and occasional travel between the two locations, so you should expect 2-4 weeks of travel per year.
