

Senior Project & People Manager
You will be a vital part of a dedicated and professional team of managers and other highly skilled people. As Project & People Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to drive innovation, scalability, and operational excellence in military healthcare technology—helping shape the future of defence medical support.
The job
As part of the development management, you will be responsible for people management of employees located in Romania who are part of the development department, as well as project management for distributed Scrum teams in the development department, with teams consisting of members in both Romania and Denmark and working towards delivering on budget, quality, and time. You will lead cross-organizational improvements and deliveries to and from key stakeholders from other business units, coordinate and manage cross-team initiatives at the program level to advance our organization and product and assist in bid processes by providing technical feasibility assessments, effort estimates, and development planning input to support proposal development.

Joining the team
Our new product Battlefield Health, part of the Healthcare Business Unit, combines proven healthcare and C4ISR solutions into a unified defence medical information system. Drawing on over 30 years of defence and healthcare expertise, Battlefield Health provides critical decision support for military healthcare professionals, enhancing Continuum of Care, Patient Tracking, and Flow Management.
The SitaWare Battlefield Health platform offers a comprehensive multinational setup to manage patient tracking and flow from incident to repatriation, delivering a common operational picture and meeting defence healthcare requirements. Building on this foundation, the Battlefield Health – Deployed Hospital project aims to deliver resilient, modular, and rapidly deployable field hospitals equipped with advanced digital solutions for emergency and surgical care in extreme environments. The initiative focuses on offline-capable, interoperable software supporting real-time patient tracking, triage, diagnostics, and logistics, ensuring seamless operations even with limited infrastructure. Designed for multinational contexts, the solution features intuitive interfaces and integration with diverse medical and logistical systems.
Three distributed Scrum teams with members from Aarhus and Bucharest work together, each team consisting of 7–10 people and multiple roles: Developers, Testers, a Domain Advisor/Product Owner, and Scrum Master. You will have a broad interface with many roles primarily within the program—working closely with your project management peers, domain advisors, solution architects, customer project managers, quality assurance, implementation, and sales.
Your qualifications:
- A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and experience from the IT industry
- Qualifications comparable to PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or similar
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Project Management within complex software development companies
- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
- Experience from within software development companies leading people and projects
- Demonstrates strong project management skills, including experience with KPIs, management briefings, business committee meetings, and agile methods such as Scrum and SAFe.
- Proficient in Office and Jira; fluent in English.
- Analytical, structured, and able to remain calm under pressure; result-oriented with a winning mentality and excellent cooperation skills.
- Motivates and develops teams through an involving leadership style, thrives in collaborative environments, manages multiple projects with a commercial mindset, and embraces continuous learning and improvement.
