As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for building a high-performance team that embodies Systematic’s core values. The team lives up to its commitments in terms of scope, quality, schedule and cost & each team member is motivated and constantly improves themselves through sparring and being challenged. You will also be responsible for coordinating across projects within the program to ensure overall program objectives are achieved, and for continuously identifying and implementing improvements both within the team and across the program. 

Beside the Project Manager responsibilities, you will be the People Manager for 14 people spilt between: architect, developers, testers and interns/student workers. 

Your key responsibilities will include:  

• Plan (together with the team) the next iteration, establish conditions for the team to fulfil the goals and ensure progress on reaching commitments; 
• Support employee to develop and reach their full potential;
• Engage with stakeholders (Program Manager and other project managers within the program) to ensure alignment on expected results by the team; 
• Follow-up on progress and identify corrective actions to address deviations. 

Joining the team 

SitaWare Headquarters is one of Systematic’s products that helps save lives of soldiers around the world & help our users create an overview of their situation, make decisions in complex situations and work together within their organization and coalition partners. 

The DEF HQ Echo team consists of a project manager, an architect, 10 developers, 3 testers, and 1 developer intern. It is our oldest and most stable team in the Bucharest office. Most team members have worked together for several years and together they are proactive and take responsibility needed for the team to deliver on their commitments and expectations from stakeholders. In short, it’s a high-performance team. 

What we are looking for: 

• IT-related master degree and skills that matches skills that match PMP, Prince2 or similar; 
• 3-5 years of experience with project and people management; 
• Experience managing product development team(s); 
• Nice to have experience with disciplines like planning, communication, stakeholder management; 
• Fluent English skills; 
• Goal oriented, proactive, structured, ambitious, team player, who is able to combine business understanding with technical insight to make the right decisions on a daily basis; 
• Travel is expected to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark (around 5-10 days the first year).
