Manual Test Engineer for Defence Product

About the position

By joining us, you will become part of the Quality assurance team of our SitaWare Frontline program which focuses on  bringing the strategy decided in the higher-level command centers to the battle field soldiers. This application can be found on tablets, cars, android devices and it is widely used in the NATO countries. As a Tester in the Defence business unit, you will be involved in ensuring that soldiers are able make effective decisions in complex situations.

The position is located at our office in Bucharest. You will join a team of 50 skilled colleagues in the Program. You will work closely with developers, architects and testers in an agile scrum team where you will share ideas and inspiration throughout the development process and most importantly, ensure quality assurance from the beginning. You will become part of an international environment with colleagues located both in Romania and Denmark.

In addition, you will be part of a testing team that works across all products in the Defence business unit and with whom you can do knowledge sharing and gather inspiration. Testing is an integrated part of our development process. You can look forward to being part of an active, professional group of experts with a focus on quality assurance.

Responsibilities and tasks

Your main responsibility will be ensuring a high level of test quality throughout the complete feature process during early test involvement.

Your daily tasks will involve:

• Create and maintain all kind of test documentation like test considerations, creating Test Cases, risk analysis, defect reporting
• Being a vital part of the development process ensuring quality in our features. Asking all the critical questions, understanding the assignment, close cooperation with all stakeholders like developers, product owner, project manager etc.
• Participate in all test activities like System Test and Bug Hunt
• Test planning and ensuring new features have a testable design
• Ensuring traceability of Requirements through testability design.

What should you bring in

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical education
• You have 2-3 years of experience in software testing and/or testing in gaming industry
• As a person, you are detail-oriented, structured, and analytical and also responsible, proactive and self-driven
• You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.

It would be a plus

• If you have obtained an ISTQB certification
• If you have experience working with the following:
  • JIRA, Xray & R4J
  • Linux
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Test automation framework e.g., Robot Framework, Cypress or other

Practical information

• Travel might be expected to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark
• We work with security classified projects, therefore, as a Systematic employee, you must have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years.
