Lead Systems Engineer

The project purpose is to deliver products that helps save lives of soldiers around the world. Help our users create an overview of their situation, make decisions in complex situations and work together within their organization and coalition partners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Define and implement new complex features or improvements to existing features;
Resolve existing defects;
Write high quality code that ensures the perfect mix of functionality, maintainability and efficiency; help drive processes and coding principles in cooperation with the project manager and the team architect. 
Potential grow into an Architect role;
Participate in defining new complex features and breaking them down into user stories;
Align integrations with developers on other products;
Spar with other developers to solve complex challenges within the team;
Estimate and plan the current iteration in collaboration with the rest of the team;
Identify and drive initiatives to improve processes or product quality in cooperation with the project manager or team architect;
Inspect and review the code of your colleagues. Solve defects or implement new user story in technologies like Java or Angular. 
Refactor and improve existing code, and write automatic test;
Collaborate in sharing knowledge within the team and generating ideas for new improvement initiatives within the team and across the program.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor/ Master degree of a technical University.
A minimum of general IT experience in software development – 8 years
Experience working with product development (preferred)
Nice to have defence experience.
Outstanding craftsmanship within programming.
Advantage if you have experience with technologies like Java, FrontEnd Technologies (Angular, React, VueJS etc) and Kubernetes and with development of micro services and micro frontends.
Nice to have: Scala; Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices experience
Fluent English skills required besides Romanian
