About the Position

This position is based in our Bucharest office and is part of Systematic’s Global Business Services area. As a Financial Controller, you will join a team of 10 colleagues currently supporting all Systematic subsidiaries. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial operations across the organization.

Your Impact as a Junior Financial Controller

In this role, you will take an active part in managing end-to-end accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), cost accounting, payroll, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and consolidation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and reconciling relevant balance sheet accounts;
• Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes;
• Ensuring accuracy and quality control over financial transactions and reporting;
• Assisting with ad hoc financial analyses and requests;
• Supporting payroll postings and the preparation of tax declarations (including VAT).

Are You the Talent We’re Looking For?

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• 2 years of combined accounting and finance experience;
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role;
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
• Proficiency in ERP systems and solid IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
• Experience working with BI/reporting tools and familiarity with AI-driven environments is an advantage;
• Fluent in English, with the ability to thrive in an international work environment.
