Internship: Junior Accountant

About the position

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and falls under Systematic’s Global Business Services area. In the position as Junior Accountant, you will join a well-established team with 6 highly skilled colleagues, working in close collaboration to ensure that the company accounting policies and the relevant statutory requirements are followed. The future intern will directly report to the Finance Manager.

Your Daily Impact as an Intern

Your overall responsibility will be executing the accounting activities according to the company policies and fulfilling them in a timely manner.

Your daily tasks will involve:

• Assist the booking of accounting transactions, including supplier invoices, fixed assets, and project/ cost centers transactions;
• Assistance to supplier and other bank payments;
• Participate in Month end closing activities as defined by the Finance group guidelines and requirements;
• Scanning and import of supplier invoices to electronically workflow system;
• Validate the Expense/Travel Expense Claims in CONCUR;
• Assist to preparation General Ledger Accounts Reconciliations (review and follow up) as well as preparation IC reconciliations. Review and confirm the overall correctness of P&L and BS statements;
• Participates in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in accordance with the company guidelines.

• You are studying for Bachelor/ Master in in Economics, preferably in Accounting;
• We're on the lookout for someone who is curious, analytical and eager to learn;
• You have experience or familiarity with software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment;
• Having some exposure to working with ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Operation (Dynamics AX / Axapta) is a plus but not a mandatory requirement;

Practical information

• The internship will last 6 months, starting March 2024 and it will be a paid part-time position.
• The setup will combine both in-office and remote work.
