We are seeking a Field Support Engineer to join our Brisbane team to contribute to the implementation of Systematic’s command and control solution.


About the role
As a Systematic Field Support Engineer, you will be working closely with customers providing technical support and training.  
Reporting to our local Project Manager, you will be responsible for keeping up to date on Systematic SitaWare C4I product suite to support the alignment of customer expectations and product roadmap to maximize value for our customers. The role requires a person who understands the ADF, is technically astute, a good communicator with strong problem solving skills.

Providing technical support and advice both on-site and back office, your key tasks will include:
 

  • Installing, configuring and supporting SitaWare in the customers C4I environments for use in test, training, exercise and actual operations.
  • Setting up and testing integrations between SitaWare and coalition systems, sensors, effectors and communication systems.
  • Conducting technical training of administrators and end users  – both in classroom and workshop environments.
  • Collecting feedback from the customer and feeding the learning loop, both internally in Systematic and to the customer.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sub-contractors, consultants and colleagues within Systematic.
  • Keeping up to date with Systematic products to ensure the alignment of customer expectations and product roadmaps, maximising value for both our customers and our products.
  • Helping to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed scope and on time.

 

About you

  • Completed studies or training in the field of IT, electrical engineering or similar, or comparable technical military career.
  • Military knowledge or experience
  • Want to work in an agile environment (scrum experience is a plus).
  • Eager to make a difference and step outside your comfort zone.
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to create trust with stakeholders.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations, technical support and training.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

 

You should also be familiar with one or more of the following:

  • Java, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, XML
  • IT infrastructure and platforms (Windows, Linux Android based operating systems, Active Directory, database management systems, XMPP chat).
  • Hardware infrastructure components such as servers, as well as computing devices.
  • Australian Defence terminology, use cases, practices and procedures.
