

Solution Architect Defence (m/f/d) – Bern
As a Solution Architect at Systematic, you advise our clients from European armed forces and the defence industry on the implementation of complex IT solutions – from analyzing the current state to developing solutions and ensuring successful implementation.

Our Swiss location is characterized by close customer proximity. We primarily work directly at the client’s site, where our own office spaces are available. The job
- Responsibility from requirements analysis to implementation of individual customer solutions in Switzerland and Central Europe
- Integration and configuration of our software products into customer-specific system environments
- Alignment of strategies and technical requirements management within overarching solution architectures
- Consulting in the development and implementation of our system as well as in the design of medium to large IT systems
- Supporting the project manager with technical questions, bidding processes, and workshops
- Active contribution to the further development of our software products and extensions
- Answering technical product questions and assisting with customer inquiries
- Setting up and maintaining training and test environments
- Conducting technical trainings and product architecture workshops
Your qualifications
The following tools and technologies are frequently used at our company. We do not expect you to master everything from day one; what matters most is your personal experience and willingness to learn.
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in the defence or military sector is an advantage
- Knowledge in proposal creation, estimation, and technical requirements management
- Experience with IT platforms (Windows, Linux, Android) and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, storage solutions, databases
- Understanding of software infrastructure, hardware integration, and software architecture (e.g., iSAQB, TOGAF, NATO Architecture Framework)
- Excellent understanding of IP networks (TCP/IP, UDP, SSL/TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT)
- Very good German or French skills as well as excellent English skills
- Strong consulting skills, teamwork, and solution-oriented working style
- Willingness to travel in the Bern/Thun region and occasionally in Central Europe
- Willingness to undergo a basic security clearance (PSP-11)
