Test Manager for Defence

For our latest product in the SitaWare suite, we need an ambitious and quality-conscious Test Manager with lots of drive and motivation. Our product is relatively new, and we are therefore looking for a Test Manager who can help set the path for quality assurance as well as for both manual and automated testing.

You are committed and passionate about testing and quality assurance
Working from our office in Aarhus, you will join our SitaWare Cloud programme, which currently comprises four development teams located in Aarhus, Denmark, and Warsaw, Poland. The programme is the latest addition to our range, and as Test Manager you will be able to make your mark on how the programme evolves, and you will be involved in developing the testing processes from the outset.

It will be your responsibility to ensure that quality becomes an integrated part of the development process, and that quality assurance is performed at all relevant levels so that we live up to every requirement and expectation as well as the desired quality. In the long term the programme will be based on continuous integration and continuous deployment and in this connection your focus will be on automation testing which, among other things, involves end-to-end (E2E) testing, integration testing as well as testing the user interface. The programme utilises the latest technologies and as Test Manager you will be involved in quality assuring the product. In your role as Test Manager you will work closely with the team management, comprising a programme manager, two project managers, three architects, a UX designer, and a product owner.

Here is a taste of what you will be doing:

  • Ensuring the implementation of early testing in the development process
  • Developing and implementing testing strategies as well as testing processes
  • Involvement in automation and implementation of the test automation process
  • Coordinating testing activities
  • Reporting on progress and results
  • Planning System Tests and continuous delivery testing
  • Working with requirements

The right profile
You have two or more years of experience as a Test Manager from a similar position and have extensive knowledge of software from your studies or a previous job. You are passionate about testing and quality assurance, and you enjoy challenging your colleagues to ensure high levels of product and process quality. You hold an ISTQB certification or similar, and you are keen to learn and continually develop your skills. Experience with JIRA and Xray is an advantage but not a requirement; the same applies to automated testing and agile development processes.

You are full of drive and highly motivated and take pride in helping others develop their skills. You are ambitious, committed, and forward-looking, and ensure the implementation of early testing in the development process. As an outstanding communicator, you communicate with stakeholders across all levels in the organisation. In addition, you are fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English.

Established software company where quality and expertise have pride of place
As a Test Manager you will join our network of other Test Managers in Defence, and through your weekly meetings will collaborate closely and have the possibility of sparring with competent colleagues. The Test team in Defence consists of 25 employees in all, including Test managers, Test Engineers, Test interns and QA colleagues. As Test Manager you will help support our young Test talents and contribute to their professional development.

You will be joining Systematic, which has just been named one of the most attractive workplaces by IT Talent 2020. Together, we have a passion for supplying the strongest solutions to our customers, and inspired by the world of sport, we are conducting research in-house on how we can create a motivating, winner culture.

We challenge each other, our work processes and our technologies so that we are always at the forefront of development. We prioritise your professional and personal development, and you will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of courses and training programmes, while we also have a thorough onboarding process lined up to introduce you to our methods, processes and our IT security.

We work with security-classified projects, and therefore, you as an employee at Systematic need to have security clearance. Read more here: https://systematic.com/en-gb/careers/security-clearance/.
