Technical Tester for projects in the financial sector

Denmark, Aarhus.

About the position

The position falls under Systematic’s business area Digital Transformation, which has customers in both the public and private sectors, and you will be based at our office in Aarhus. You will become part of a well-established team of approx. 11 colleagues, consisting of developers, two project managers and an interdisciplinary scrum master who works proactively and closely with our customer to ensure the best and most stable solutions. The position involves long-term customer relations, and as Technical Tester, you are on board from the outset when developing new features and projects. Testing has a high priority, and together with the team you will – in your role as tester – follow the project closely through to implementation. You will have the opportunity to assist in developing the test strategy for the project, and to work closely with the customer in your daily work.

Responsibilities and tasks

You will have overall responsibility for quality-assuring the team’s tasks during both the development phase and in connection with releases. As the work mainly involves testing back-end systems and integrations, you will be responsible for designing and participating in the preparation of autotests, which is a development objective for the team’s current testing strategy.

Your workday will involve:

  • Establishing testing and QA work for stories, features etc. in cooperation with developers
  • Testing stories and features via tools in those cases where autotesting does not apply
  • Defining acceptance criteria for requirements in dialogue with the customer
  • Having discussions with and challenging the team’s developers with regard to testing and quality
  • Having discussions with the customer about their testing and improvements to their testing
  • Release work in collaboration with the team developers

Minimum qualifications

  • You are a qualified computer scientist or hold a BSc/MSc degree in computer science or similar
  • You have 3+ years of experience as a developer or technical tester
  • You are experienced at using Java and SOAP/REST
  • You are passionate about quality, and able to incorporate quality into the entire development process
  • You are analytical and creative, and are interested in developing autotesting
  • You are fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing

Preferred skills

  • You have experience with backend systems and/or integrations – preferably as a developer and/or tester
  • You are familiar with SQL, Wildfly and IBM WebSphere MQ
  • You are familiar with the tools Jira, XRay or similar
  • You have an ISTQB/TMAP certification
