Systematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situationsSystematic - IT Solutions for critical decision making in demanding situations

Test Engineer for Battle Management software solutions

Aarhus, Denmark.

“Test as they fight” and become part of a strong and unique network of brilliant test engineers!

Use your domain knowledge to ensure a high level of quality assurance

As a Test Engineer with defence-domain experience, you will join a product team and ensure that we release high-quality products that are fit for use in critical situations. You will be the final point of test before our software is released – but you will not be working alone. You will become part of our SitaWare mobile programme, comprising 40+ skilled colleagues working in close collaboration to create world-class software for our customers. As a Tester in Systematic Defence, you are part of a highly competent team of engineers and specialists, where you will be expected to contribute your military perspective and experience.

Your role

You will be responsible for testing Battle Management software that is used worldwide in the most critical environments. Using you experience from the military domain, you will challenge the software and our testing procedures to embody our motto “Test as they fight”. You will install the software, configure different set-ups – depending on test requirements – and conduct the tests, with the majority of tasks being practical in nature. In an exciting and varied working day, your daily tasks will involve:

  • Working with the quality assurance of our Battle Management software
  • Using your domain knowledge to advise on test and functionality
  • Assisting with the configuration and operation of our test environment
  • Executing manual tests of our products installed on multiple servers

Are you our newest team member? Then you:

  • Have a military background from the army, navy or air force, where you have worked with command-and-control or battle-space management at the manual level.
  • You might have a background as an army radio/CIS operator, navy CIC operator/supervisor, air force operations specialist or similar – most importantly, you understand the domain, the terminology and the purpose of C2 systems so you can test our products and ensure continued quality.
  • You might also have a formal IT education, and if not, you certainly have superior IT skills, and you enjoy learning new ones.
  • You can see yourself challenging the software, and finding out whether it has any weak areas, so they can be made stronger.

What we offer

  • An open-minded working environment, where we focus on our employees and their well-being.
  • In the long term, you will also have an opportunity to take your career to the next level, as we offer excellent development opportunities depending on your wishes.
  • The position is based at our head office in Aarhus, Denmark, with limited travel – approx. five days a year visiting other Systematic offices.
  • You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.

  • If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us on +45 8943 2000 and ask for Rebecca Johannsen, Senior Test Project Manager, for more information about the position.
