Systems Test Engineer for Bespoke solutions

The job

As our new Systems Test Engineer your primary role is to ensure high‑quality delivery of custom integrations and extensions by designing, executing and improving test processes. You will drive quality across the development lifecycle, contribute to risk‑based test design, and support teams with domain expertise, test techniques and validation strategies. Being the test expert, you will have the ability to define and improve processes, test strategies and our approach to test and quality assurance, providing you with a high amount of freedom in the role.

 

Some of your key tasks will be to:

  • Apply and maintain the test process across bespoke integration projects, ensuring consistent quality assurance.
  • Analyse requirements and feature work to define appropriate test design, levels of documentation and risk‑based test techniques.
  • Execute test activities including functional, integration, hardware‑related, regression  and non-functional testing.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, proactively sharing relevant information.
  • Maintain test documentation, traceability , supporting audit and compliance requirement.

 

Joining the team

Joining us, you will be part of our Defence Bespoke Team which is an 18‑person team located across Denmark and Poland. The team consists of developers and architects. The focus is on delivering software- and hardware‑related integrations such as sensor interfaces, radio drivers, and interoperability solutions with external systems. Joining us, you will be the only dedicated tester in the team, acting as the primary quality assurance specialist and test advocate.

 

Our purpose as a team is to deliver customised add-ons, integrations and tailored extensions to Systematic’s defence product suite. We work to ensure customer‑specific functionality, hardware integrations and interoperability with external systems while maintaining high-quality, maintainable solutions.

 

Your qualifications

We are searching for a colleague who:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Software Technology or similar.
  • Has some years of experience working as a Software or Systems Tester, testing integrations, hardware interfaces or complex systems.
  • Brings experience with Test Management and Test Design methods, and a familiarity with integrations, APIs, protocols and hardware validation setups.
  • Has attention to detail, particularly around software engineering fundamentals, test methodologies and quality.
  • Has an eye for improvements, can “think outside the box” and is willing to challenge status quo with new suggestions or solutions.
  • Has the ability to work with automated test frameworks.
  • Is fluent in Professional English.

 

If you have domain experience within Defence, with mission-critical systems, communication systems or similar, it is beneficial but not a requirement. As is experience with radio drivers, sensor interfaces and external system integrations.
