Systems Engineer for mission-critical battle management software

 

Aarhus, Denmark.

A look into the role

In this role, you will be working in our Defence Business Unit, located at the top of our tower with one of the best views in Aarhus. You will be joining a well-established full-stack team consisting of a Scrum Master, Developers, and Testers. The team is a part of a program consisting of 5 scrum teams with approximately seven colleagues in each team. They all work with developing new features for our android product, SitaWare Frontline.

As a Systems Engineer, you will become a vital player in assuring deliveries of new product functionality to customers worldwide. Your daily tasks will involve...
 

  • As a feature lead, you will have the responsibility to develop new features for the program. We develop in TypeScript, Angular and Java.
  • We work with mission-critical software and making mistakes can have the consequence between life and death. Therefore, we expect you to ensure high quality in what you do. This involves unit testing, robot testing, reviewing code. But don’t worry, the responsibility does not only lie on your shoulders. Everything we code, we ensure has always been viewed by more than one set of eyes.
  • We praise the magic of brainstorming and talking with each other. So, you will be involved in designing and implementing all the new and cool features together with your amazing team of Domain Experts, Architects and User Experience designers.
  • You will also be involved in maintaining the team’s components of the products codebase.
  • At Systematic we work in Scrum teams – it is not something we just say – we do it! We will expect you to play an active part in the meetings and that you see as much benefit from it as we do.
  • You will also collaborate closely with your team to deliver the monthly increment and half-yearly release.

 

What we need...

 

  • You preferable have a Master education within Computer Science, Engineering or similar. But if you have a bachelor education, don’t hesitate to apply
  • You have at least two years of experience from a role similar to what we are looking for – preferable from the Defence domain, but it is not a requirement
  • It is a must that you have experience with some parts of the tech stack. Java, Angular and Typescript is not a stranger to you. You might also have heard about DevOps or any other technologies that will be beneficial to the team
  • Working in Scrums teams based on agile methodologies is everyday life to you. Furthermore, Systematic is CMMI5 certified and therefore you must be motivated by following our process
