Student Worker - UX Designer for Defence
Are you eager to design user experiences that make a real impact? Join our Defence Service Products team as a student worker and help shape digital learning tools for those who rely on them the most.
Your role as a UXD student worker
As our new UX Designer, you will be part of a collaborative team of UX designers and training developers working on Aspire—our digital training platform that supports product training across our Defence solutions. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge about usability, technology and human-centered design in a meaningful context.
You can expect to:
- create low- and high-fidelity prototypes
- mature UX prototypes and ensure smooth handover to the development team
- validate user experiences during implementation, with a focus on quality and user-friendliness
- identify and raise UX issues in existing functionality
- explore and develop UX concepts for new training and business initiatives
- contribute to clear, user-focused documentation—internally and externally (e.g., design system documentation and user manuals)
- support the development of digital learning materials
- assist the team with various ad hoc tasks
Working hours: approx. 10–15 hours a week, with flexibility around exams and your study schedule.
Meet the Defence Aspire Team
You will become a part of the Aspire team, our digital platform that supports training across our Defence product suite. The team is made up of software developers, UX designers, training developers, and domain experts who work closely together to deliver meaningful and user-friendly solutions.
We thrive on complex challenges and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Our strong team spirit and open, knowledge-sharing culture create a space where you’ll be supported and inspired—both professionally and personally.
Are you our new UX colleague?
We imagine that you are currently pursuing a BA or MSc Digital Design, Information Science, or a related field, and have a strong interest in user research, digital experiences, and solving real-problems for users. Ideally, you have at least 1½-2 years left in your studies.
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience with prototyping tools such as Figma, Axure, or Adobe XD
- is curious, proactive, and not afraid to ask questions or dive into complexity
- can turn complex user challenges into simple solutions
- communicates clearly—both visually and verbally—and can explain design decisions with confidence
- speaks and writes Danish and English fluently
- has experience or is eager to work with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
