Our vision is to enhance the training output through simulated scenarios for SitaWare products. You will be part of our Defence business unit, where you will join our newly established Defence Service Product Management team, so the timing is perfect if you are keen to make a lasting impact on tomorrow’s software solutions The aim of the Defence Service Product Management team is to develop new service offerings that support our customers and partners in making the most of all that our current and successful SitaWare products have to offer. We have already released the first versions of our training platform (Aspire), and we are keen to onboard a new colleague who can join us in enhancing the capability of self-paced training in a simulated environment. How you will spend your time…

We have identified the training simulation domain as our next service offering, and one which holds massive business potential. Our new Solution Architect will be a key driver in this, and will be involved in investigating, generating ideas and building prototypes to find the right product fit. Among other things, you will…

 

  • be part of both our Product Management as well as our Development teams
  • set the technical direction for simulated technology development by
    • developing prototypes to validate simulation concepts
    • spending time getting to grips with our SitaWare product suite and understanding how simulated training can improve and grow learning
    • supporting product strategy through roadmaps
  • hold an active role in developing innovative new features with the Development team
  • design and support implementation of new features together with our Product Manager and User Experience Engineer

 

Our new colleague…

You are an experienced Software Development Engineer. You might already have a couple of years of experience as an Architect, but this position would also be an excellent fit for an aspiring Architect who wants to make the leap from developing to designing architecture. Experience in developing or providing service offerings, or experience in making greenfield requirements based on market understanding will help you stand out. To succeed in the role and in the team, our new colleague will:

 

  • be an experienced developer with good knowledge of Java and Angular JS (and/or Angular 9)
  • have worked in an agile environment with SCRUM and/or Kanban
  • be keen to take on a technical leadership role, acquire even more technical knowledge and apply it through prototypes and features
  • have a talent for facilitating complex technical solutions in a simple way, creating a vision and strategy for the different products
  • have an organised and detail-oriented working style combined with a goal-oriented and flexible approach
  • be someone who enjoys being part of a highly agile working environment and building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams
