Join our Defence Services organisation
Our new Solution Architect will be part of our Defence Services organisation and will join a team of other architects, specialists and project managers in our Nordic constellation. You will report to the Senior Project Manager for the Nordic constellation and be based at our head office in Aarhus, Denmark, while collaborating with colleagues across our international Defence organisation. The Defence Services organisation focuses on the delivery of technical services, systems integration, training, deployment support and wider services to our customers.
 
Multifaceted, hands-on and customer-facing technical lead role 
As Solution Architect, you will play a key role in delivering and rolling out our SitaWare and IRIS suites in customer organisations. You will collaborate with project managers, product development teams and end customers to translate needs and requirements into software solutions, drive solution architecture decisions and manage the delivery of technical solutions to customers. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to winning proposals, increasing customer satisfaction and driving add-on sales to existing customers.

 

Your responsibilities and daily impact: 

  • Responsible for specific technical solutions, including architecture and design choices in collaboration with customers, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Responsible for writing the technical part of proposals and estimating the technical solutions    
  • Provide solution architecture presales support to drive customer value and support sales activities 
  • Provide hands-on support on the installation of software products within customers’ organisations
  • Advise our customers on best practice to deploy and use our software products

 
You should expect both domestic and international travel to customer sites approx. 3-4 days a month on average.
 
Experienced architect with technical leadership skills
You already have some years of experience as a Solution Architect, and hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science or similar.
To be successful in the role, you will need strong technical as well as leadership skills, and know how to coach, motivate, guide and influence your stakeholders both inside and outside the organisation.
 
Ideally, you:

  • are experienced at customer-facing activities, and your ability to instil trust with customers ensures high levels of customer satisfaction
  • are a strong and collaborative communicator both in Danish and English
  • enjoy working in an agile and changing environment, and Scrum experience would be a plus
  • have experience within one or more of the following areas: tactical communications systems, software development, IT infrastructure, software and system testing and/or test management (e.g. ISTQB), technical training and external customer-facing projects.

 

It will be an advantage if you have knowledge of or experience with working in the defence environment.
