Take the lead in designing scalable and secure software solutions
As a Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the software solutions that define the success of our organisation. Your focus will be on designing scalable and secure architectures while collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards.
In this role, you will:
- Architect and design solutions: Create and refine architectural designs that meet system requirements, focusing on security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Define technical direction: Develop and maintain a technical roadmap to guide the evolution of the system, prioritising and implementing improvements.
- Ensure quality: Monitor and maintain programme-level quality attributes, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Lead and collaborate: Guide your team to deliver solutions that meet product and system requirements, while working closely with the Product Manager and stakeholders on larger features and technical challenges.
- Stay ahead technically: Keep up with new technologies, address skill gaps, and propose simpler, effective solutions where possible.
Our Critical Infrastructure team
We are a dynamic product organisation dedicated to developing innovative solutions that ensure the safety of people at sea, particularly in offshore wind farms, and enhance security around critical infrastructure. Our mission is to create cutting-edge products that make a real difference in the world. A key safety product in this role is our SITE product, an established solution that manages safety and marine coordination for offshore wind farms, built on Systematic's SitaWare platform. With customers across the globe, SITE is relied upon throughout both the construction and operational phases. The team comprises 14 skilled, technical colleagues focused on enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.
Skilled and motivated Software Architect
To succeed in this role, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Architect with a solid foundation in software engineering, with the ability to design and develop scalable, high-quality solutions.
Familiarity with the offshore and critical infrastructure domains would be a plus, as it will help you better understand the unique challenges our products address.
Furthermore, we are looking for:
- A Master’s degree in software engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience and/or certifications.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Software Architect.
- Proficiency in Java, C#, Microsoft Azure, and Angular. Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
- API-based product development is a plus.
