Software Tester for library and learning systems

Aarhus, Denmark.

Would you like to help quality-assure innovative library and learning systems for public libraries and school libraries in Denmark and abroad?

About the position

The position is based at our head office in Aarhus, and falls under Systematic’s Library and Learning business unit. As a Software Tester, you will join an agile and autonomous project team comprising 25 skilled colleagues, including an experienced Tester and a Test Manager.

Systematic’s library and learning systems are used in public libraries and schools in every Danish municipality and at 300+ schools in Sweden, and our software is continually being updated with new functionality.

As a Tester, you play an important role in quality-assuring our releases, and you are involved throughout the development process from start to finish, working in close collaboration with our Developers, Architects, Domain Experts and UX Designers. We have a tried-and-tested development and test process that supports your work processes while enabling you to develop your expertise and personal approach to the tasks.

Your working day will include, for example:

  • Learning about the processes and usage scenarios within the library and learning area
  • Analysing development tasks from a test perspective
  • Defining tests and performing manual tests
  • Updating test documentation
  • Sparring with the project’s other Testers on general test strategies and techniques

The perfect position if you:

  • Are passionate about working with tests and quality assurance, and incorporating quality into the entire process from solution specification to finished product
  • Are good at analysing a task from many different angles, and spotting details which might be overlooked by others
  • Like structure but also the possibility of making your own mark on the work tasks
  • Can alternate between working independently and working closely with Developers and other Testers in distributed Scrum teams

Your skills and experience

  • Ideally, you have experience at working with test tools and test techniques in software development projects. In particular, it is an advantage if you possess test automation skills.
  • You possibly hold ISSTQB or TMAP certification, or we will ensure that you obtain it.
  • You are good at being able to understand, analyse and communicate complex solutions, preferably at a technical level.
  • You are a good team player, and have what it takes to enter into constructive dialogue with Developers and other project members.
  • You speak and write Danish and English fluently, and you thrive in an international environment where both languages are used daily.
