You will be welcomed as a Test Engineer to the SitaWare Headquarters (HQ) APEX within our Defence businesses. SitaWare HQ is the core of the SitaWare product suite, a cross-domain battle management system that strengthens decision-making across land, air and maritime forces. Your core responsibility as a Test Engineer will be to ensure the right level of quality assurance in order to deliver high-quality products in close cooperation with your team.

The APEX SCRUM team oversees the product’s installation, configuration, authentication and authorisation, as well as a series of vital features for our customers, e.g. message exchange, vessel database and track history. As an APEX Test Engineer, you will be part of the HQ program and the overall Test team in the Defence department. Therefore, you can expect a dynamic and varied day where you will be responsible for the following: 
•    Creating and maintaining test documentation such as test considerations, test cases, risk analysis and defect reporting
•    Ensuring a high level of quality assurance across all features through close cooperation with your test colleagues as well as stakeholders, including developers, architects, product owners, project managers etc.
•    Planning tests and ensuring that new features have a testable design
•    Participating in all test activities, especially system tests, bug hunts and maybe even field tests at the customer site

You are the colleague we are looking for if you:
•    hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and/or have some years of experience with software testing
•    are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment
•    have experience working with open-source platforms such as Linux, CLI, Docker or Kubernetes and test automation frameworks, e.g. PlayWright, Cypress and JIRA. This is not a prerequisite but a benefit
•    have a background in the Defence domain. However, this is not a prerequisite

We work with security-classified projects and therefore, as a Systematic employee, you must have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years.
