Software Developer

Denmark, Aarhus.

About the position

We are looking for several developers for a new national security project which is starting up after the summer holidays. The project involves liaising with several different parties (customers, the authorities and suppliers), and the solution will involve setting up internal and external integrations. You will be based at Systematic’s head office in Aarhus but will be part of the strong professional community that spans the entire company. The types of projects and work we do vary widely, as we have internal project teams and take part in projects with colleagues at our other locations, not to mention working closely with our customers.

This project is part of Systematic’s business unit Digital Transformation where, in addition to national security, we also work with products, solutions and customers within renewables, libraries and learning as well as business intelligence and data science.

We are passionate about everything we do – whether it is supplying value-creating solutions to our customers or winning at table football after work on Fridays.

Responsibility and tasks

As a Software Developer at Systematic, you will be involved in several different aspects of software development. You will work with everything from preparing requirements specifications with the customer, developing new features, and the continual improvement and development of existing code for implementing final solutions. All in close collaboration with skilled colleagues.

Software development is our core competence, so you will encounter a high level of professionalism in your working day, in which sparring and feedback between you and your colleagues have a high priority. In this way, we ensure that our software solutions for our international customers worldwide are of a high quality.

Your everyday tasks will consist of:

  • Producing quality code that is easy to maintain and understand.
  • Working with a wide range of different technologies, for example Java, .NET, C#, Scala, HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, JQuery.
  • Working with scrum planning, agile working methods as well as feature-driven development.
  • Helping to develop and maintain processes, for example based on CMMI principles.
  • Becoming part of a dynamic working environment which is characterised by collaboration, development and quality.

Preferred competencies

  • You have completed a relevant software study programme at Master’s level.
  • You are passionate about your field, and curious and enquiring in terms of developments within new technologies.
  • You thrive in a virtual environment, working with a team at multiple locations throughout Europe.
  • You have several years of experience as a software developer.

Minimum qualifications

  • The project will supply a solution based on Java, WildFly, SOAP, XML, REST/JSON, SQL Server, Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript, and you will therefore need experience with several of these technologies as a minimum.
  • You speak and write fluent English, as the job involves daily contact with our international offices.
  • We work with security classified projects and as a Systematic employee you need a security clearance. Read more about it here:

  • We would like the successful applicant to start in September or October 2021.
